Very sad to hear of Bernard’s passing. I have fond memories of him playing with Eamonn and Mike in the mid-80s. He had huge charisma and talent and warmth. Deepest condolences to his family.

We have fond and fabulous memories when we moved to Galway almost 30 years ago of this vibrant, talented and charismatic singer in the band 'Shout'....Bernard was very inclusive in his joy of performing, often including his audience to participate.
Our admiration of him stemmed from a talk he took part in about his young life that was honest, open and for many an enlightened awareness of how to cope with life's difficulties.
Wishing his children and all his friends and family comfort and strength at this sad time and may ye find solace in his love for you all and may he rest in peace.

I lived next door to Bernard in the 80’s. He was one of those special people that I was lucky to meet when I moved to Galway. He had a great personality and he always made me laugh! Being in his company was always a real privilege.
