Absolutely devastated to hear of Bobby's passing. He was an absolute gentleman. So sincere and made my days in the Cath Lab so memorable. I remember the singing and you always knew Bobby was somewhere nearby. If you needed anything at all Bobby wouldn't hesitate to get it for you. Thinking of you all during this difficult time. He is reunited with his love Pauline. Sandra he was one in a million and I will never forget him.

Sandra and family I'm devastated to hear the news about your dad. He was the best there was. My first time meeting him he made me feel at ease with his jokes and music. Everytime time I met him he made me laugh and gave me a hug. Sending you all the biggest hugs and strength.

Bobby you were probably one of the first people i met when i joined the mater. You were a gentleman since the day i met you. He was a legend on the corridors of the Mater; singing, laughing, always giving a helping hand, proud of his work and some craic. I can still see him looking over his glasses waiting for the reaction to his jokes!!

Sandra and all the Whelan family. I was so saddened to hear of Bobby’s passing. He will always have a place in my heart. He was such a great work colleague. Funny, loyal, respectful and always went that extra mile for his colleagues and especially for our patients. His humour and singing put patients at ease. I remember fondly his football chats with the consultants and his filthy jokes. He would have me shocked but secretly laughing inside. His love for Pauline was clear to everyone and now he is back at her side. He adored his family and we could see how proud he was of you all as he recounted each of your achievements. I wish you strength Sandra and you are all in my prayers.
