I worked with Mr Rahman for a number of years since my very first day and weekend on call in LCH in 1994. He was a very knowledgeable, wise and skilled clinician, surgeon and great teacher. Was always very humble, gentle, kind and generous with his time to his team, staff and patients. He was such a role model I will always remember.

Condolences to the Rahman family on the passing of Bozlur. I remember having an operation to repair my broken femur, and Dr Rahman was the calming influence on me on the day. Such a gentleman. Thank you for allowing me to continue to play football in my teenage years. May he rest in peace.

I have fond memories of him in the Dundalk Art Group back in the 70s. He was a really lovely painter. I remember his painting of your Mam’s hometown of Warrenpoint. I can still see the beautiful colours he used to capture the light.

I was saddened to hear of the death of Mr. Rahman. My deepest condolences to Mark Rachel Rebecca and Naomi on the loss of their Dad.
He was an absolute gentleman with the most lovely calm demeanour. He served the people of Dundalk and surrounding area very well for several decades. My father worked with him for several of those decades and said he was a great Surgeon. It was my honour to look after him in later life in his retirement and it was always a pleasure to sit and chat to him.
He is a sad loss and may he Rest in Peace. He has earned that right.

Dr Rahman was not just a fine doctor but a true gentleman. I had the good fortune to be a patient under his excellent care as was one of my daughters. I entrust him to the mercy of Allah who will welcome him as a true and humble disciple , a man who walked gently on this earth.

Dr Rahman looked after me on many an occasions in the Dundalk hospital when I was a child.
He was always so gentle, kind and reassuring with both me and my mum. He made me feel so looked after - as if I was one of his own he was caring for.
May the kindness he showed the many people he cared for, as I am just one of them, be bestowed on him in Jannah.

To Dr Rahman I am sorry for blocking your phone line as a teenager while you would always answer saying “naomi your friend Gwen is on the phone again” quickly followed by “don’t be too long” and that time when we travelled to Australia & had no mobile phone coverage so Dr Rahman called my mum & they both teamed up to track us down !! He will be forever in my heart - may he rest in peace
