We visited Beda s late sister Padla Heavey regularly. She proudly spoke of her twins devoted work as a nurse in Piltown. May Beda Rest In Peace now. Remembering the Kent Family at this lonely time.

My mother Mary Walsh from Ballinabanogue regularly regailed us with stories if Beda & their nursing days /antics in London in the early 50s - I’m sure they’ve gathered ‘hair’ with the years but she was really fond of & held Beda in high regard over many decades -
I personally met her when she called here in cahir to visit Mam - impressive character. I hope someone records her long long legacy & service - we have a few snaps from those nursing days & maybe if Beda’s early photo album is available it would be great to ‘join the dots’ & identify some of those lost b/w faces - Deep sympathies on the passing of a woman who made her mark

Many many years ago Beda & my late wife Mary Walsh of Ballinabanogue we’re the closest of friends so much so that Beda coaxed Mary to london c1950 to nurse in Stephen’s Hospital & all the adventures that followed - they remained close friends for many many years after they both returned home & visited us regularly in Cahir - always a formidable intelligent & no nonsense woman - Mary told me that Beda regularly got front row tickets for the famous Palm Court Orchestra as the two young Irish nurses were woooed by the musicians !
I rem her mother kept lodgers in Kilmac - one of them a young teacher who took Mary to a dance - he showed up in Cahir years later to say hello !!
