We are so shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of Brendan. He was so full of life and fun, love and kindness. He touched the lives of so many over the years. He was truly a wonderful person whose strong faith made him a tremendous example. We remember the yearly congregation trips to Dublin with great fondness and I regularly quote Brendan when he used to reassuringly say how “you can’t put your arms around the world!”
We will know that Jehovah God will certainly “long” to restore Brendan’s life in a beautiful cleansed earth and we can’t wait to welcome him back.

I offer my sincere sympathies to Brendan's family. I had the privilege of working as a volunteer with Brendan on the HLC. He was always a true gentleman; kind and hospitable. We are comforted by the words of Jesus when he said: "But that the dead are raised up, even Moses made known in the account about the thornbush, when he calls Jehovah ‘the God of Abraham and God of Isaac and God of Jacob.’ He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him.”

Dear Margaret, Leigh, Duncan, Izzy and Alex and all your family, we cannot express with words how sad and shocked we are to hear about Brendan’s sudden death. Although we are now far away from Ahakista, we feel deeply the impact of Brendan’s death. One of the sisters described him as “Big-hearted”, which we think is spot on. We have heard so many report of Brendan’s kindness and love towards his friends. His loss will leave a big hole in the hearts of all who knew him. We have Mike and Gloria Littleford staying this week, and they were equally saddened to hear about Brendan. We are praying for you all at this devastating time, and will all be with you in spirit as we attend his memorial service online.
