Sincere sympathy to Caitriona relatives and friends on her passing. She was so friendly. You are in our prayers at this sad time. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
I can’t believe you are gone 😢. You were the most amazing teacher I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I loved your classes (might not have been an A student) but you never made anyone feel excluded in your classes. You inspired everyone to be the best version of themselves no matter what their abilities in music were. I will never forget the life lessons you taught me. I’m so glad I had the pleasure of knowing you. You are the most inspiring woman i ever knew. I hope you are at peace and I will truly miss you. RIP Miss McKenna xxxxxx all my love Ann
I'm so saddened to hear of Catríonas passing. She was the most wonderful woman. I'll never forget one day myself and a few others were collecting at the church gate and got soaked. Catríona insisted on taking us back to her home, fed us tea and biscuits and warmed us up before we went back to school where the other teachers had a good laugh about where we'd been. She was a genuinely lovely lady and wonderful teacher. She will be missed. Rest in peace and make music amongst the angels Catríona.
Sincere sympathy to Caitriona's family on her sad passing. I got to know her a few years ago when she would come to the Clones Library to research her ancestry. She was a lovely lady, very knowledgeable and loved history. May she rest in peace 🙏

Sincere condolences to the extended McKenna family & close friends on the sad passing of Caithríona.

Caithríona was a truly gifted educator who guided me and so many others at Our Lady's through our Inter and Leaving Certificate music curricula with such care and diligence.

Over the years, Caithríona entered her many choirs into post-primary choral examinations. An experience that remains with me to this day. Seventy-Six Trombones in three parts will always remain with me and remind me of her.

Caithríona consistently demonstrated exceptional musical leadership during our school musicals. While conducting the orchestral accompaniments of Oliver! From The Pirates of Penzance to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, she brought music to life for all of us.

Caithríona leaves behind a wonderful legacy for so many of us who were taught by her during her teaching career at Our Lady's Secondary School, Castleblayney.

Rest easy, Cathríona.
