My father John Galvin was a great friend of the Markey family, when in Farnanes and their frienship continued down through the years.

Sincere sympathy to the Markey family, I went to De La Salle secondary school in Macroom with Cahal and remember him as the fellow in the class who was up for any kind of craic and mischief, he never seemed to take life too serious then only always for whatever fun he could have, may Cahal rest in peace
