We send our condolences to treasured members of Dublin South IKA Branch, Laurence and Evelyn and to all the Leon and Dunne families on the passing of a wonderful lady, Catherine.

Catherine became involved with the Irish Kidney Association in the early 80’s contributing nearly 40 years of promoting organ donor awareness, church gate collections & hosting various fundraisers.

Importantly, Catherine and Laurence’s hard work contributed to the building of the holiday homes in Kerry and Waterford for dialysis patients. Over the years Catherine both helped to organize, and was instrumental in carrying out the numerous IKA-sponsored Children’s and Adult's Christmas parties. Of note, was Catherines' work in the early years of the Irish Kidney Association when she hosted BBQ’s in Brittas Bay, Wicklow, for the South Dublin IKA Branch. Catherine will be sadly missed.

On behalf of Dublin South IKA Branch both current and past members and friends from our branch we wish to thank Catherine for her many years of promoting Organ Donation and fundraising for the IKA. She made a real difference to the lives of many patients.

May Catherine Rest in Peace 🙏
