My heart goes out to Philomena Ailish and Frances on the death of their brother Charlie. To have lost both Charlie and Peter within a week was a deep shock to them and to all the family.
I always enjoyed having a good conversation with my cousin Charlie. His contribution to education through distance learning was enormous. I felt and still feel great pride in Kilroys College, spanning three generations. Charlie's legacy will live on. May he rest in peace.

I’m so sorry to hear the death of your father, Charlie. I remember the chats over the wall dividing our gardens. Late one evening, musing into the embers of a big bonfire I heard his voice and when I turned I found he had been gazing into the last flames too. He said how strange life was and how quickly it goes by. Many condolences.
