My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Chris. I met Chris down on Bere Island in Ireland where he was one of my Glenans' Sailing instructors, and what a teacher! He was so entusiastic and encouraging. He had a great sense of fun and was extremely sociable. His laughter and "wicked" sense of humour was infectious. I always looked forward to meeting up with him when he came home to Ireland to visit. May Chris rest in peace.
Sincere condolences to Chris's family and friends on his recent death.May he rest in peace.
My deepest sympathies to Chris's family and his many friends. I met him in Ireland in 1970. For 52 years he has been a kind, helpful and good friend. May he rest in peace!
Over the years I’ve met Chris on many occasions sometimes in the UK but mostly in Ireland. Chris was such a warm person & full of fun. I especially remember happy days walking in the Comeragh, Kerry & Wicklow mountains as well as convivial evenings with friends sharing good food, splendid stories & boisterous laughter. Farewell Chris and rest in peace.

We were so sorry to hear of Chris's sudden death. We have such fond memories of good times over the years since our first Glenanes sailing holiday with Chris as our sailing instructor in 1995. He was charismatic, larger than life with a generous heart and a strong social conscience. We are so grateful to Chris for the wonderful friendships we have made thanks to him and the many happy memories, sailing with Chris in Ireland, Croatia and in Boston. Our deepest sympathies to Chris's dear friends and family who must be devastated by this deep loss - our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time.
