I knew Chris from a young age and he was such a wonderful influence on my younger years- always so polite, gentle and kind. His laugh was contagious and he always brought so much joy to everyone. He was just a really lovely person who I saw as a great father (and I imagine) great Grand Father.

Dear Simpson Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Chris was a great friend to my father and mother. His humor and kindness will always be remembered. One of my favorite memories of him was in Kuwait when I was visiting. He took me out and we had a massive Lebanese lunch and afterwards smoked fine Cuban cigars. It was a small moment in our lives but a memory that I will always cherish.
My father always talked highly of Chris. My father considered him one of his best friends. He would talk about Chris often after he left Kuwait. Chris's friendship meant alit to hom. The world is a little bit more lonely now that Chris and my father are both gone. May he rest in eternal peace. Thank you Chris for being a friend to my father and mother and thank you for a wonderful memory that I will always cherish.

I am so sorry to hear of Chris’ passing. It was a pleasure to look after him and hear all of his stories. He spoke with such pride about his family. My condolences to you all.

For almost 30 years Chris has been a great friend whose style and charm was always to the fore and often masked a steely determination to get the job done. As a host he was second to none and a touch of divilment was always lurking under the surface. He brought joy and laughter to many a gathering and no doubt will continue to delight the heavens.
