Hunting lodge Ballyfermot was were we met, I walked in to a medley of Barry Manilows, “One voice” even now” & “I can’t smile without” you left us many many years later with some of the happiest musical weekends memories & craic. We had the pleasure of having you, Benny and many great keyboard players, Arthur Madden Eugene McCarthy Ray Clifford among others. You were a fantastic singer/musician and we are thankful for having you entertain us throughout the years.

Rest easy now,Johnny may god bless and pray for your loved ones who now mourn your passing. Thank you for the memories.

He was ‘ Johnny’ to me and my RTE colleagues. He was also one of the most popular musicians to ever come into rehearsal and studio.
His good humour and sense of mischief eased the tension of many a tv show recording. He could also act, insofar as any our motley crew could, and he and I shared many a funny ( ?) sketch together.
I enjoyed his company so much, and have many happy memories of the laughs we shared.
I’m so sorry JC is gone.

Johnny was a fine musician and vocalist. Above that, he was a fine gentleman, always with a friendly demeanour and a warm welcome. He will be sadly missed.
