Christy LUCEY

I was sorry to hear of Christy's passing, and send my condolences to the Lucey family. He was a good friend of our family and used to call on my Mum and Dad, Tom and Pat, in Templeogue. They'd have great chats as Christy was a great character. In later years I would meet him at the RDS where he was helping out with UCD exams. He always had a smile and we had a chat in the invigilator's hall. May Christy rest in peace.

He was always a pleasure to meet, with his cheery smile, some nugget of information would be passed on followed by a discussion on one of his favourite topics. He was a very welcome visitor to our house in Dublin for many years, where all the local Ballyvourney news was discussed at length. They were both proud Ballyvourney men at heart.
