There are simply no words that feel big enough for a loss like this. It was one of the greatest privileges of my life to spend those four years with Cillian. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your beautiful boy, for allowing me to love him, and for raising such an extraordinary young man. He wasn’t just someone I minded each week — he became a huge and cherished part of my family. I loved every single minute I spent with him. I have hundreds of fond memories that I will treasure forever, but none quite as precious as our weekly visits to my mam when she was in hospital. Cillian was so gentle with her. He had a way of making her laugh that no medicine ever could. I can still picture the nurses lining up to high-five him and sneak him little treats. He brought light and warmth into that hospital room in a way only he could. That was Cillian — pure love, pure joy, and the gentlest soul. He has left such a mark on me, and on all of us who were lucky enough to know him. You raised a beautiful child Jennifer and Kevin, so full of love and kindness, and that love will continue through everyone whose life he touched. Cillian, wherever you have gone, take care of your precious family. They adore you beyond words, and so do I.
