We were deeply saddened to hear of Ciss’s passing, she was a lady and will be truly missed by many. Thinking of you all & keeping you in our prayers.

Heartfelt condolences to Anne, Eleanor Marie, Patrick,  Nicky, Mogue and Marc on the death of your dearest mam, Ciss.  Remembering our great friendship and very happy times in Courtown in the late  70’s and early 80’s. Carpenters' house was an open house and Mrs. C had a warm welcome for everyone! She was an incredible woman who reared a wonderful family and made a remarkable contribution to the people of Carlow. The funeral service on Tuesday was very moving. The huge crowds and glowing messages  on rip.ie  are fitting tributes to her lasting legacy. Suaimhneas síoraí dá hanam.

Ciss was one of the greatest business women I have ever met. Nothing was ever too much trouble to her if we asked for little personal things to be done during our times of sadness.
