To Gretta and Family, brothers Des and Fr. Sean. 'Tis with great sorrow that we've learned of Damien's death. I have known him since we used to play a monthly game of golf in Rush about 40 years ago. He was a giant of a man then, always dignified, jovial and excellent company. I met him on a few occasions when his health had sadly deteriorated but his inbuilt natural courtesy bravely tried to cover up the incessant pain that he bore. We regret that we are unable to attend the funeral services. We would like to have shared your grief and the many happy stories associated with him.
