Our sincere condolences to Margaret, David, Aimée, Nathan, William, Emilia and all Dan’s family on his recent passing. Dan was extremely helpful to us here in St. Helen's Junior School. Whether inspecting students or interviewing, Dan was a gentleman who had a natural way of putting everyone at ease with his friendly smile and genuine interest in those whom he met. It was lovely to hear Dan talk with such devotion about his family and precious grandchildren. We will miss Dan and I am particularly grateful for all his help to me over the years.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Dan recently. My sincere condolences to Margaret, David and Aimee. I worked with Dan in St.Brigids for a number of years where he was such a lovely principal. I loved that he always revisited after his retirement, especially when he came with his grandchildren. May he now rest in peace.

All our thoughts and sympathy go out to Margaret, David, Aimee and to Dan's Linehan siblings at this sad time. Dan (and Margaret) shared a decades long unwavering friendship with my own late parents. Dan and my late Dad being two fellow Cork exiles in among the Jackeens. Many childhood memories come back to me of the Sundays they spent together or the holidays in Boherbue. Dan was a gentleman and a scholar... in particular a scholar (and who brought on many other scholars through his professional life). Very sorry that I couldn't get back for the funeral - but it was impossible to do so this week. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
