So sorry to hear of David's passing, my condolences to all the family. I knew David for years from staying in Kiltimagh and Donegal, such a lovely man. RIP

Elaine and Dougie - so sorry to hear of Chunky’s sad passing. He was one of a kind and we really enjoyed his unexpected visits when we lived in Sligo and letterkenny. Unfortunately we won’t be able to make the funeral service but you and all the Appleyard family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincere condolences to the family of David Appleyard on on their sudden loss. My Dad (Seamus) and he were firm friends from their rep jobs often meeting on their respective routes and if they didn't meet on the road, they caught up by phone. He was a household name in our home, regularly Dad's best jokes were sourced from David and forwarded to us all! I speak for myself and my siblings when I say our Dad will miss him lots. RIP David.

A legend. One of the great guys. Always in good form. Nothing was a problem. So many great memories of car and motor bike servicing in the garage in Hollybrook. Chunky Pie- will never be forgotten.
