I was very sorry to hear of David's passing. My deepest sympathies to the whole McArdle family, particularly Dinah.

I’d seen you both recently before Christmas at Clarke's Station. I wish I’d had more time to chat then, but looking back on it now, it may have been the perfect "passing" moment.

Growing up around my grandparents, Brendan and Alice Tipping, in Dunmore, the mere mention of “David & Dinah” was always accompanied by a smile and warm stories of the good times you shared, with your lives lived in tandem nearby. My Nanny Alice, especially during the summers I spent with her, made no secret of how much she loved and appreciated her little cousin David, both growing up and throughout her life.

It’s through those stories and moments she shared with me that David — and she — will remain present long after these moments pass. Even though I didn’t know David well myself, I hope it brings some small comfort to know he will be remembered well for the friendships, decency, and goodness you both lived your lives with.
