Dearg’s name suited her so well. She personified an energy and passion that meant she stood out from the crowd with the vibrancy of her northern twang among a sea of Dublin accents. Dearg stood up for what she believed in. She exuded a confidence that made a lasting impression on me as a teenager. It was a pleasure to spend those years with you Dearg and to learn of the brilliance you went on to do.

I am heartbroken for you, Almudena, Lilah and all of Deargh's family. I have been thinking of our time in USI and all of Deargh's very early campaigning !! Homes in New Cabra Road, Navan Road and NCR, the joy & hope Deargh brought and your absolute love and adoration of her.
