Deirdre Scully

I am deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of my neighbour Deirdre. It is hard to put into words the shock and sadness that comes with such an unexpected loss of such an amazing individual.
My family and I were beyond lucky to have Deirdre as our neighbour. Both her and Pamela have been such a blessing to our family. Deirdre adored our animals and especially our dog Dakota. Dakota equally loved her and was spoilt rotten by Deirdre.
Please accept my condolences, Pamela. My thoughts are with you and your family at this very difficult time. May the memories you shared with Deirdre bring you comfort in the days ahead.
May she rest in peace, and may you find strength and comfort in the memories you shared together.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Ms. Scully’s passing. She was a truly kind and inspiring teacher who left a lasting impression on us all during our time in Loreto Swords. We will always remember working with her on the arts committee, as well as the trips to the various Dublin theatres. She instilled in us a love for the arts that we still have today. Pamela as you know how incredibly shocked our family was when we had learned of Deirdres sudden and unexpected death. It was only a few days previous we were chatting in your front garden. We are greatful to have known Deirdre all these years as neighbours and friends. She will be greatly missed by so many. She was a kind, gifted and generous lady which was evident when you and Deirdre minded our little dog Dakota where she had to sacrifice her own bed space to ensure she was comfy. You have been such a strong women these last two weeks and I have no doubt your sister is looking down on you ever greatful for everything you have done for her now and in the past.

Deirdre was my CSPE and drama teacher over ten years ago in Loreto College, Swords. I knew her very well and worked closely with her in my senior years in secondary school, on the Arts Committee. She was always so passionate and engaging when teaching, and so imaginative when coming up with ideas for school productions and class projects alike. Her personality shone through in her work and I have wonderful memories of her. A really lovely lady, my sincere condolences to her family and friends.
