Denise my best friend. You are our family, my friend, you always had my heart. I am missing you every moment. We will never forget you. I promise to take care of Molly and Ryan. I love you and so does Ken and Jade.
Denise,
My good friend since we met in Dun Laoghaire Tech all those years ago and went on to college together.
Afterwards doing our own thing here and there.
Sweet, gentle, bubbly, smart and fun.
Kindred spirits who never lost touch.
Friends from afar and friends at home.
True to ourselves.
My heart aches.
RIP Beautiful Denise.

Condolences to the O'Neill and Hartigan family on the loss of the beautiful, vibrant Denise.
I met Denise in art school in the 80's and we lost touch since then, except for a few times we used to call eachother in the US. We had gone there after college, she was in Florida and I was in Washington DC and both of us were going through a mix of homesickness and wanting adventure.
Anyway she persuaded me to go to California, to Yosemite as she had been there before. In the end, she decided not to go, but I had my flight booked and went anyway on my own, a little scared but never regreted it as I went on to see the redwoods, Grand Canyon and so many amazing places. Never did get to Yosemite, but have to thank Denise for her contiguous adventurous spirit. In my minds eye she is around 23 years old starting an adventure.
May she have further adventures where she is now. Rest in Peace, Denise.

My deepest heartfelt sympathies to the O'Neill and Hartigan families.
I first met dear, beautiful, wildly fun loving Denise in college in the 1980's, and although there were often big gaps in our contact, we were old and dear friends. Her presence amongst us will be so very sadly missed.
I am stunned by her all too sudden passing. May she rest in peace 🙏

With heartfelt sympathy, may she rest in peace. I met Denise about 12 years ago, I was a neighbor in New Jersey, and when she would walk her beloved Ginger, I would always ask her advice about my newly planted shrubs. My friend runs the consignment shop, which I live above, and Denise would bring so me stuff in to sell. Also we had the honor of meeting her sister Jean when she came to visit, we loved her. Denise was a good person who will greatly be missed.
You have been a sister to me. I love you so much. My heart is aching. I will always love you. Ken, Jade and I will be there to take you to your final resting place. I promise to be in the lives of Ryan and Molly. May the source of all that is good in the world bring you peace.
Dearest Denise,
My heart is broken and I am devastated to have lost you. You were such a gift and the world is such a dark place without you in it. I wish you were still here in New Jersey, where I could have supported you better. I have nothing but love for you and now so many regrets.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy. I will always love, cherish, and miss you with all my heart, Denise. You have left us much too soon.

Denise was a very old friend of mine- I lived with her in London in the late ‘80’s and then again in NYC not long after. Then we reconnected when Ryan was born and she lived close by to me in the UK. My heart is shattered by the news of her passing. My love to Ryan- we have met- and Molly- we haven’t- but I know I would love you- you are your mama’s girl. 💕💋💔
This is the hardest thing for me to write in my life.
My sincere condolences and sympathy to John, Ryan and Molly and all of Denise’s family.
Denise was my first love I was 17 she was 16 when we met. We were together for about four years. I loved her so much I have never been able to have a proper relationship since.
I can not find words to express my sadness at her leaving this world.
Two of the best days of my life were with Denise. My debs night and The Rolling Stones in Slane 1981 where Mick Jagger hosed us down with a fire hose from the stage. We had so many adventures together but we were too young and wild to maybe take care of the important things. So many thoughts and memories sadness at her loss all my life.
I hope it’s ok to be so open on here.
Denise was the love of my life but it was impossible to keep her. I hope and pray she found happiness.
My thoughts are with her family and pray you all can find some comfort in the love you had with Denise.

Ryan, Molly, John, Deirdre,Jean and Stephen. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Denise. I loved meeting her in the Lavender Farm in Gorey when she was home. Also the calls and texts over the years. The school reunion was a great night and the plans to meet in N.Y. the following November. Unfortunately ,it wasn't to be. I'm going to miss you Denise. Rest in peace.Xxx
To the O’Neil and Hartigan Families
I am heartbroken for your devastating loss.
To no longer have Denise in my life after 40 plus years of friendship is unfathomable. Our lives were intertwined from the beginning as students at NCAD - in the mid ‘80s - pedaling around Dublin on our beat up bicycles. Later - meet ups here or the US - the birth of our children - so many memories were made.
Thanks to What's App video we have chatted daily these last 6 months. I treasure every moment that we shared.
You are an Angel now
