My own dear Frank passed away on 7th May..

What a wonderful, fatherly servant of God Derek was, for me and for many! I have been praying many times for him the past couple years and especially in this last season of life on earth.
I can only imagine the joy in his twinkling Irish eyes when he awoke to the glories of heaven and the begining of his heavenly life.... the bounce in his step returned, the light-hearted laughter, the love for his Lord Jesus filling his entire being.
What a reward this faithful father has now.
May the Gracious God of comfort surround your days and nights, dear Trich, Sarah, and Rebecca. I will continue to pray for this for each of you and your family.

Thnx Sarah for all the updates last months. My deepest condolence to the family. I will remember Derek as a mirror of Christ, instrumental for me to put me on the path of Jesus follower. Derek (and Trich) for me are inspirational, examples of unconditional love.

Wat heb ik er deze week vaak aan gedacht….die aardige humoristische stabiele aandachtige lieve Derek die we 33 jaar geleden bij Familycamp ontmoeten. Ik zie hem voor en door de groep gaan, spelend met kinderen, wijze woorden voor wie het nodig had en vooral zo liefdevol ! Wat is de hemel weer mooier geworden en is het verdriet hier groot.
