Sorry to hear of Derek’s passing after a long illness bravely borne. Sincere sympathy to Anne, Naomi and Bonnie on your sad loss. Got to know Derek through his friendships with Denis, Pauline and James and their shared interest in sailing. Fond memories of enjoying his company on many occasions including a sailing trip to the Isle of Man many years ago. May he rest in eternal peace.

May I offer my sincere condolences to Derek’s family on this sad occasion. I have fond memories of Derek from my childhood in greystones and later when Derek played music with the Clancy brothers in the old La Touché Hotel on Sunday nights.

We were very sad to hear about Derek’s passing. We met him and enjoyed his company, music and friendship several times in Mountshannon and Garrykennedy with my sister, Denise Glass and Derek’s many friends.
