Condolences to Mrs. Moynihan and the extended family. Derek was a friend and a gentleman who we invariably met on our many visits to Cobh. I sat with Derek and his classmates in Presentation College Cobh and learned a great deal of physics and chemistry from them.
We will always remember the insightful Derek.
