Derek Ward

To Carol and all Derek’s family and friends . I never met Derek but I have heard about him many many times from Carol over the past twenty years. When Carol spoke of him he always seemed very saintly, patiently passively waiting for visits from those who loved him. His beautiful soul must have fed on the hugs kind words and expressions that were so generously given by those who had the pleasure of visiting him. And in return they received the grace and love from their precious brother/friend . Could there be a more pure honest relationship that said so much from expressive loving eyes. You were blessed . I hope these quite intimate memories of those moments you shared will be a comfort to you when you need and miss his quiet presence in your life ❤️

It is with deep sadness I learned that Carole had lost her brother. May Jesus fulfil in him the joys promised in eternity for he has surely earned them!

The Ward family would like to thank and extend their condolences to the Elm Green Nursing Home staff for the love and care they extended to Derek since he came to Elm Green 15 years ago. You were his family who were there every day for him, tending to his medical needs and keeping him company, especially in his last days. We are forever in your debt. You are all heroes.
