Just heard or Dermot’s passing in Mass today. What a gentleman!!I I worked with Dermot many years ago (1972) in Anco Ballyfermot where he was always helpful, friendly and a very popular member of staff.

We are sad to advise that Dermot Cranny passed away recently. Dermot was a long-standing member of the Society, and often served as a Committee Member. We extend the condolences of the Society to his family and friends.

Sincere sympathy to Dermot's family and friends on his sad loss. Along with his colleagues in the Red Cross and the Civil Defence, he played an heroic role in the great floods in Little Bray in '65 and '86. May God be good to him.

I’ve many childhood recollections of Dermot meeting with my farther (Paddy, RIP) to plan first aid training and competitions, and of being used as a child casualty in mock car crashes. May you cherish all your wonderful memories of him. RIP Dermot.

A great man has passed !
You don't meet many like Dermot in Life, a very nice and helpful man with exceptional abilities.
I was lucky enough to meet and serve with Dermot in the Irish Red Cross in the 70's. We won the Presidents Trophy due to the efforts of Dermot and Martha.
My prayers and thoughts with Mairead and Family at this difficult time.

It was with great sadness that I learnt of the passing of Dermot RIP.

Dermot was a wonderful artist and a man of many creative talents He was a devoted husband to Ann.He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I express my deepest and sincerest sympathy to his daughter grandchildren and his sister in law Aileen and her partner Paddy. I will offer the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the repose of his soul RIP and will keep all the family in my thoughts and prayers at this most distressing time.

Dermot was a life member of the Irish Red Cross who received the Irish Red Cross medal "Merit Award for bravery" He served as Area Director for Wicklow and developed national training programmes for the Irish Red Cross members nationally.

Deeply saddened to hear of Dermot's passing, so soon after Ann. I have fond memories of meeting Dermot and the dog in the Peoples Park and being up and down to the house in kilmac over the years.
