Dermot O'Shaughnessy

Though gone many years now I have fond memories of Kilfinane and Dermot. We had many common interests especially electronics communications and all things technical.
I was always fascinated by Dermots exploits on ships as a Radio Officer and the sea journeys he travelled. I believe thats where my interests in marine matters began as I've been messing about with boats as well as maps all my life since then.

Deirdre and your extended family can I sympathise with
you all on the very sad passing of Dermot. I was sad to learn that he has gone back travelling but this time he wont be returning. I always enjoyed chatting with him and Marian in their pub when back home in Kilfinane. I viewed his Mass and Deirdre you gave a fantastic eulogy. May Dermot now reap his heavenly reward and rest in peace.
