I just want to say how sorry I was to hear the sad news. I was a friend of Dermot’s and Fergus and Vinnie and Karen in our teens and early twenties.
It’s a mark of what a lovely guy he was that I never forgot him after all these years. Always happy always fun always a “head” as we used to say. Such a sad loss

I have great memories of him as a young boy at his home and around the garage in Teranure where I often told him he was as handy as a big pin.On one occasion when on holidays with the family he sent me back a present of a Big Pin . I still have it . God bless you Dermot.

I have fond memories of Dermot- on his motorbike, talking about his beloved Conrad and Barbara, playing Bowie on his guitar. I particularly remember the new lease of life he got when he started working as an attendant in the hospital. His joy at helping others in their time of need was inspiring. May his kind heart rest in peace.
Sincere condolences on the loss of Dermot. We hold fond memories of his childhood holidays in Milltown with the Russell family. RIP Dermot.
