When we returned from the UK in the 1980's our farm and garden had been completely neglected. Des was a wonderful adviser, supplier of beautiful trees and helped us to completely plant our farm and gardens.
We are so grateful to him, such a lovely man.

So sorry to learn belatedly of the passing of Des. Back in 1989 myself and Paddy were Captains at Boyle Golf Club and Des was a great support to us. He presented us each a mature copper beech tree to plant on the course to mark the year. All these years later they are beautiful and admired by everyone. Des was a lovely convivial man and a good golfer and like his siblings a great singer. It was a privilege to have known him. Condolences to all his family. May he rest in peace after a life well lived.
