The sudden & premature departure of Don is a sad & incalculable loss, firstly to his family, but secondly to his home area of Moneygave, Coppeen & indeed all of West Cork. Over the past 20 years he & I have delightedly collaborated on a wide range of local heritage related matters, but there was so much more to do. Thank God for the privilege of having this amazing genius as a dear friend. To his dear Patricia, heartfelt condolences. Likewise to his family: David, Paul, Simon, Catriona, his sister Margaret & the extended family. We can imagine the catchup happening with his parents, Olive & Val - itchy noses all 'round!
