I was sorry to learn of Dorothy’s passing. I wish to offer my deepest sympathy to Derek & all the Perkins family. We started playing tennis at the same time & enjoyed many games together. She was great company and always a pleasure to meet. Rest in peace lady.

My very sincere condolences to Derek and family on the passing of our beloved Dorothy. Dor & I were great buddies in the Tennis from day one and she was one of the first people I played with all those years ago. She was a great lady, never to be forgotten and very sadly missed by us all. May she rest in peace.

Deepest sympathy to all of Dorothy's family at this very sad time. We, at the Wednesday tennis group are trying hard to come to terms with her death so can only begin to imagine your griet.

Dorothy was a loyal and founder member of this group. Up to last year she played three times a week and was formidable on court rarely missing a ball. She was also a member of our ramblers group for many years and we'll always remember her mischievous smile as she tucked into a slice of cake after a long trek.

She got a standing ovation when she surprised us by turning up for our christmas lunch - and that's how we will remember her - as our beautiful, kind and caring friend.

On behalf of the surviving members of The Sinatra Society I would like to offer our condolences to Derek and Family. Dorothy and Derek were founder members and Dorothy was a very active member in presenting her regular musical choices at our monthy meetings. She also organised our annual dinner dance with her usual efficiency making sure that the menus were of a high standard. As a friend she shared many weekends away with the late John Watt and his wife Margaret along with myself and my wife Nuala. We travelled on one occasion to Hoboken in New Jersey the birthplace of Sinatra . She was always the best of company and a pleasure to be with. She will be remembered with great fondness.
