It is with great sadness we learned of jules passing. He was a lovely man who we have fond memories of when on his many trips to Skibbereen. Mrs Rominger we hope you are doing ok during these sad times. We never saw ye apart in all the years around Skibbereen and could see how much ye lived for each other. Hopefully the next few weeks and months will be made easier in the knowledge that your husband,dad and granddad was very much loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. Rest in peace Mr Rominger,lots of love,Hourihane family,Skibbereen,Ireland.

I am writing to convey my heartfelt condolences to you, your mother and your extended families on the death of your beloved father Jules. Your father was an exceptional man who will undoubtedly be missed by everyone that knew him, and he will always be remembered very fondly in Skibbereen. Jules enjoyed his time in Toehead immensely! I have lots of very fond memories of Jules and your mother Martina (Marty), in particular, when I visited them at the 'Little White House', Toehead during their time in Ireland. I will never forget the warm hospitality that you and your parents extended to me whenever I visited Philadelphia. I was made feel so welcome! May the fond memories of your father bring you comfort during this sad time in your life! I feel privileged to have known him, and I will cherish his memories forever!
Marcella, your excellent eulogy clearly demonstrated the important aspects of your father’s remarkable life and achievements, and it taught me more about him. You know where I am!

Dear Martina, Marcella, Robert and Eileen, Martina and Jeff, and David and Cindy, we are profoundly saddened by the loss that you have encountered of such a wonderful and kind man - a friend and neighbour. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all of you at this sad time in your lives. A great man has left us but will remain forever in our hearts!
We will miss his visits to Ireland! May you all find comfort in the good memories that you will carry in your hearts.

Our sincere Sympathy to you Martina , the Romminger and extended families on the very sad passing of Dr Jules. Such a talented learned man, and full of medical knowledge, and listening ,to his Mass learned much more about his Profession as a Dr. and yet so humble. Such a lovely couple to visit Marty and Dr. It was always a very special visit to The Little White House May his gentle soul Rest In Peace.

It’s with heavy hearts we write this message to you Marty and all the Romminger family. We are so sorry and sad to hear of the passing of our friend. We looked forward to The Doc and Marty’s visits over the past 30 years. We will miss the telephone calls lovely company and easy conversations. God rest you Doc and give strength to you all..We will always keep you in our prayers and in our hearts.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of our lovely family friend “ The Doc” . The Romingers have been part of our lives with over 30 years and were so highly thought of by us all. Love and prayers to you Marty and all the family. We will always think of you both fondly.

My family appreciate all the kind words about our father. He loved Ireland and was so happy there. He loved you all. This will comfort my mother and all of us.

A wonderfully caring, humble and kind man who had a ‘way’ with people and a roguish grin. “The Romingers are home” was always ‘good news’ in Toehead and throughout West Cork. Marty & Doc / Doc & Marty - two peas in a pod who cared deeply about all their neighbours and friends.
Sleep well Doc - we know that you are not gone from us, just gone before us.

Sincere sympathies to Mrs. Rominger and family on the sad passing of Dr. Rominger, I had the privilege of knowing Dr. Rominger for numerous years, firstly through the West Cork Hotel and then personally when I visited friends of his in America numerous times. He was a remarkable man, very knowledgeable, a kind and generous man who served the world of medicine with great interest and pride, nothing was too much trouble for him. Dr. and Mrs. Rominger were part of the West Cork Hotel Family for many years, he will be missed greatly by all that knew him. Rest in Peace my good friend.

Many wonderful nights out my sister and I had with the Romingers during our trips to the USA and furthermore during their visits to their beloved Toe Head.
