Dr Cotter, Child Psychiatrist
Very sad to hear of Dr. Cotter’s death, the passing of a great man. He was a wonderful colleague many years ago when he came weekly to work with us in our child guidance team in Moore Abbey, Monasterevin. As a young psychologist I learned so much from him. His smiling face and terrific sense of humour were a safe and comfortable backdrop to his wisdom, insight, analysis and depth of experience, which he generously shared with us, to the benefit of all our clients. His gentle presence and immense expertise has enriched the world and comforted many people’s lives.

I was Mr. Donald's caregiver. A wonderful, kind and very intelligent gentleman! He will forever be in my memories! My condolences to everyone in the family but especially to dear Suzanne who dedicated her life to taking care of her parents.

Sincere condolences to the Cotter family. Donal was a major figure in my life, a wise and supportive mentor to a young psychiatrist. Though that is many years ago his influence continues to help me to this day. May he rest in peace.

My sympathies to the Cotter family on your sad loss. Don was an exemplary consultant and mentor. I found him very encouraging when I joined the (then) EHB service as a fledgling consultant. His words of wisdom have stayed with me and been passed on to others many times over the years.
