Deepest condolences to all Ellen's family on your loss. I fondly remember Ellen from my days in St. Loman’s in the '70's and 80's and always enjoyed a chat with her whenever our paths crossed in the intervening years. I was sorry to have missed her funeral.

Ellen was fondly remembered by our late mother, Eva Moore McCarthy, as a friend since childhood. Her parents were great friends of our grandparents, Bill and May Moore, Freshford Co Kilkenny. Lovely stories of the Phelan and Moore children growing up together.

I read of Ellen’s death with a deep sense of loss. She epitomised the description of a true lady. I have known her for many years and enjoyed when she and Ed visited us in Presents . She is leaving a big hole in all your lives and I so sympathise with you all. May she have the best seat in Heaven.

I have had the pleasure of doing Ellen’s hair for the past 18 year and have gotten to know her very well during those years.
She was a wonderful woman full of positivity with a great outlook on life that I greatly admired.
Always took such interest in where my next holiday was or what new restaurants I had been to or indeed if she had been there herself .
I enjoyed our weekly chats about her trips to Rosslare and especially Kelly’s hotel where she loved to spend time with her family, and as she was leaving the salon she would always smile and say “always keep upright!”

I was so so sad to hear of Ellens passing. Absolutely loved our chats and the fasinating stories she told of years gone by. She really was a gem and a rare one at that. I was so fond of her but you all must be so proud to have had such a very special mother,.grand mother, and great grand mother.

She was very capable and professional. May she rest in everlasting peace and may her bereaved family be consoled.

I grew up beside and spent all my life in the company of Doctor and Mrs Cody. He saved my life when I was seven and she was the most pleasant and helpful person I knew. To see them both passed on is so sad for us all but I have so many wondwrful memories R.I.P.
