My heartfelt sympathy to you, dear Hazel, Máire, Aileen, Karen, and Sheila. I have great memories of Liam over the years, as a warm and helpful family friend. Robert and I also spent a lovely few hours with him over dinner in a Carlingford establishment circa 2009, where he had gone to great trouble to provide orienteering maps of the area and other tips, to make our stay really enjoyable. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, humour, and intelligence.

Along with his academic achievements Liam was the proud captain of the

Just heard this morning about Liam, fittingly at a sporting event. I will remember him as a stalwart of Irish orienteering and as very generous to us with your wonderful house in Carlingford. My thoughts are with you Hazel and all the family, especially Karen who I’ve come to know again in recent years. May Liam rest in peace.

Wonderful memories of working alongside Dr Convery at the Dublin Dental Hospital bringing such necessary care to children medically compromised and simultaniously encouraging a next generation of Pardiatric Dental Professionals

I will always remember Liam as a friendly face in the IMC who, out at Dalkey Quarry and other crags, willingly coached & encouraged new members including myself. Liam was one of those that made the IMC so welcoming to newcomers. I am sorry to hear of his illness and passing.

Only this morning I learnt of Liam`s death. I have such happy Memories of all the Convery family as we grew up together in Ferrybank, Waterford such a long time ago now. Liam was always a gentle man. May he rise in Glory now and I send sympathy and prayerful remembrance to Hazel and all the family from all the Sisters here in Ferrybank.

Sincere condolences to Dr Converys family.. we were privileged undergraduates to have been the recipients of his wealth of knowledge and his guidance continues to be the bedrock of my interaction with my paediatric patients 30 years later.

Sincere sympathy to Hazel, and all the family, at this time. Liam was a valued and enthusiastic member of the Guinness Choir for many years, also organising hill walks when the choir went away on social weekends. Thinking of you.
We were saddened to learn of the passing of Liam.It was a privilege to have known him as a teacher and colleague over many decades. Liam specialised in Paediatric Dentistry, and always prioritised the interests of his patients and students. Liam was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him. His contribution, over decades, to Dentistry in Ireland, was highly valued. We offer our condolences to his wife Hazel, family, friends and colleagues. God bless him and may he rest in eternal peace.
Liam was always a delightful companion on the mountains. He was generous with his extensive knowledge and ever encouraging of the less experienced. My condolences to his family and many friends.

He was a true gentleman, a wonderful teacher with a lovely sense of humour, and a great supporter of students in the Dublin Dental Hospital. I valued Liam's continued counsel when undertaking specialty training in Minnesota and in Belfast, and then as a colleague working alongside him in Dublin. Liam was an outstanding person.
