Sorry I couldn’t be with you to leave Eddie off on another interesting voyage, no doubt. I have fond memories of his colourful terminology when he’d be giving instructions on his boat . Part of my learning to sail was with Eddie in the early 80’s . Thank you Eddie and I wish you well on your travels.

I remember Eddie in the Kerryman office on Rock Street, he was on the committee of the Tralee Swimming Club before he got involved in The Tralee Boat Club.

My deepest sympathies to Breda, Eamonn, John, the extended Barry family, and all the staff at Barry Packaging. I have such fond memories of Eddie dropping into the office, sometimes with a laptop or phone for me to fix, other times to piece together family history but more often just for the chats and to see what we were working on. He always brought great warmth and good humour, and we all loved his visits. Eddie will be deeply missed, but I hope you can take comfort in the many wonderful memories you shared together.

I've just learned of Eddie's passing.
I'm sorry to have missed his send off. My sincere condolences to Breda, John, Eamon and extended family and friends. I really enjoyed sailing onboard Siamsa, and Eddie telling me stories of my uncles playing hurling and football.
He enjoyed going back fado, fado. As did I.
