What an absolute gentleman uncle Eddie was. He was just loved by every one and was extremely kind and good-humoured to me whenever we met. I love the idea of him and Susie being back together. Sending all the Carolans love.

What a privilege and an honor to have cared for Eddie over the last year in the fern dean. He was the very essence of loveliness with a quirky sense of humor that warranted all of my colleagues adoration. I will miss his daily hugs.

My sincere condolences to the Carolan family. I met Eddie in the early 80’s as I was embarking on my engineering career in ESB. He was such a fine gentleman with a great intellect and an enquiring interest in us young recruits! He shared his experiences and was always generous with his time. I had the privilege of knowing Eddie for over 50 years. As the father of my closet friend you get to know the essence of a person. He truly was the best of us.
