My deepest sympathies to the entire Hinchy family. I was so sad to hear of Ed’s passing. I have fond memories of a very rainy day spent minding his grandsons Finn and Darragh when baby Anna was born. Ed was such a kind soul. So grateful I got to spend that bit of time with him. I’m keeping Ed and the Hinchy family in my prayers.

Sincere regrets to Pat and the Hinchy family. I worked with Eddie for many years in B&C, he was always a kind, knowledgeable, thoughtful and helpful colleague; interesting and insightful, good company and a person I admired greatly.
He is described by the O'Drisceoil brothers in the preface to the History of Beamish & Crawford as "...unfailingly generous.." How true those words are.
He is now in more peaceful and tranquil waters. May he rest in peace.
