Dear Emma and Kai, dear Sebastian, dear Mrs. Patricia Hinchy and family.
My deepest sympathy to all of you on the passing of your husband, father, grandfather.
I got to know him only once at the Wedding Ceremony of Emma and Kai in Brussels. I was immediately impressed from his open heart, friendlyness and humour. I will always remember that.
You will terribly miss him in your pain. But after a battle with dementia he will now rest in peace. You will cherish his memory.

Dear Pat, Emma, Steven, Robert and family, our deepest sympathy to you on the passing of Edward. Our precious memories go back to swimming in Eglinton Street baths and later in Cork Masters SC and scuba diving in Cork Sub Aqua Club with Ed and Pat. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of working with Edward during my time in Beamish & Crawford. Many hours and days were spent watching “how it was pouring” and making those fine adjustments to make sure the product was right in the Kegging and Bottling lines. His immense knowledge of brewing and his passion for quality made an impact on all of us who worked with him.
May his gentle sole rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. Ed was an invaluable member of the brewing team during the Halcyon days in Beamish & Crawford, with the resurrection of the Beamish brand, and dealing with many franchise brewers. He was a thorough gentleman and a great colleague. May Ed rest in peace.

I spent over twenty years working with Ed in the Brewing Department of Beamish and Crawford.
Ed was a top class brewer with a forensic approach to difficult brewing problems and was a very respected and understated gentleman.
Ed was firstly a proud family man to the core.
We shared many a beer together discussing family, sport and world affairs and enjoyed the fun and the craic.
