Your mother and mine were good friends down through the years. I remember her remarking that Elma had great courage, and nothing would intimidate her!

And I also remember the many visits to O'Mahony's clothes shop, in Clonakilty, a busy hub 'back in the day' - where much news about local matters was exchanged! Those memories invariably come to mind, whenever I'm 'in town'.

So it's the end of an era, Joe, and may your beloved mother rest in peace.
