I have just learned the shocking news that Esther my dear friend and colleague for many years, has died suddenly. Esther was a wonderful person, full of mischievous fun and at the same a tireless worker for the people who contacted her, spending hours on the phone reassuring people and often ending up cracking jokes with them. She brought her sharp intelligence and empathy to all her work. I valued highly her friendship, her advice and her experience. May I offer my condolences to Claire and all her family on the loss from their lives of this wonderful woman.

Heartfelt sympathy to Claire, Callum, Johnny and all Esther's extended family on the sudden death of this lovely, kind and caring woman. It was a pleasure to meet and know her as she brought sunshine to so many in Castlebar. May she rest in eternal peace.

I am so very sorry to hear of Esther’s passing. We were all so very fond of her. She was a most intelligent and endearing person. She was always very helpful. I loved her company and her sharp wit. We will miss her but remember her with great fondness. I am very sorry for your loss.

My sympathy to Esther's family and friends, Esther was a school friend of mine in the 1960s when we attended St Agnes Secondary School, I lived in crumlin and Esther would call round with her dog Buster and we would go for long walks together, I have fond memories of that time Bernadette Wootton nee Kelly (Cyprus).

Claire, I’m so saddened to hear of Esther’s passing. Your mum was a wonderful person, a very dear friend and colleague. I feel privileged to have known Esther, she was a truly genuine and unique person, and I will remember Esther in so many positive ways-her warm smile, great sense of humour, and always with a great story to tell.
