The world will be a poorer place without her but we can find consolation in that she is now reunited with her dear parents,Bill and Monica, her cherished brother Walter and all those who have gone before her,

My sincere condolences on Flora’s passing to all the Wallace Family, her many friends and to her work colleagues from O’Mahonys Bookshop. Flora was a very special lady, with a beautiful welcoming smile. She was warm, kind hearted, generous, friendly, practical, good humoured, hardworking, knowledgeable & loyal. I first met Flora as a little girl when I would visit my Dad (Arthur) in O’Mahonys. As a teenager, I worked there during school holidays & it was a privilege & an honour to work with Flora. She was friendly, helpful and generous with her time. We had many laughs & shared many yarns at our tea breaks as Flora had a great sense of humour and a quick wit. Our paths continued to cross at family & other occasions & when I brought my children into O’Mahonys to visit Grandad or just buy them a book, we would meet Flora, with her big warm smile, that could light up a room and that wonderful friendly welcome. From the first time I met Flora as a little girl, to working with her as a teenager to the present day, she never changed her attitude to how she treated people, Flora was still the same warm, friendly, smiling, good natured, generous and good humoured lady. We don’t often meet people in life who are so exceptional and special but Flora was one of those people. A very special lady, a rare and precious diamond. Flora was simply one in a million and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all those who loved her. May Flora Rest in Peace.
