Condolences to the Murray family, extended families & relatives

Condolences to the Murray family from the Morrissey family in Chicago. My father grew up with Fr Brendan and considered him his best friend. As kids we would go visit him when he was in town, at the Columban Fathers’ house in Beverly. He would bring us small paintings on silk from Korea which we treasured. When I was in law school in San Diego my father learned that Fr Brendan was in Los Angeles. He insisted I go visit, so my girlfriend at the time (now wife) drove up and had tea with him at the Columban House (mansion) in the Hollywood Hills. Fr Brendan gave us a tour and told us the exterior had been used in the film Beverly Hills Cop. My wife insists he was the nicest man she had ever met. Although I am sad the world has lost such a good man, I’m glad he is reunited with my dad, whose friendship he treasured.

Rest in peace Fr. Brendan. Great members of times on a golf course.

To Fr. Brendan's family the Columban Fathers and his friends: May the
the light, love, peace & joy of the Risen Lord enfold Fr Brendan now after his life of dedication. I visited Ahascragh often in my youth and Murrays house was always a place to call. The Murrays and Finnertys worked "in co" as farming families in the area so I have lovely memories of those times. In later years, Fr. Brendan entertainmed Sr. Margaret Donohue and me in Dalgan, often. So, I thank God for Fr. Brendan's life and the memories I have of him.

Rest in peace Fr Brendan after a long life well lived.
