Sincerest sympathy to the Doyle family
An inspirational man who made a real difference
Japanese students came to the Linguaviva Centre
to learn English and had a wonderful experience of Irish hospitality.
Dear Donal may you rest in peace X
Deepest sympathy to the extended Doyle family
May he rest in peace
Words aren't enough to describe Donal, because he was so gifted, so kind and so compassionate, but there also was a great spiritual depth.
Donal grew up in a loving family on Baggot Street.
The atmosphere of care and warmth that Emily, Deirdre, Frank and Clodagh shared with all us will never be forgotten. May their dear souls rest in peace and rise in glory!
I'm sending a warm cyberhug to the younger generations of the family.
Like all who knew him we are truly sad to learn of Donal’s passing and think of the great memories of his visits home to Ireland, so many cousinly gatherings from Baggot Street to Ennis to Balinrobe, and the warm connection to Japan because of him. He was the definition of gentle man and scholar.

It was a privilege to be able to watch back the service for Fr Donal through the you tube link and thank you to those who arranged That. The beautiful music, words and ceremony truly reflected his thoughtful, wise and kind presence in this world. Sincere condolences to all Donal’s family members, colleagues and friends in Ireland Japan and throughout the world. Le Comhbrón ó Chroí

Many fond memories of Fr. Donal with extended Doyle and Quinlan families in 72,Lr. Baggot Street, Dublin 2 at family functions. I was his mother Emily’s doctor and Helen and I were generously included.
May Donal Rest in Peace. Knut Moe
I write to extend my deepest sympathies to Donal's family. Simply to say, in my view, that he was a person who lived life to the full, in the sense intended by the Lord in Jn 10:10. I feel such gratitude for having known him, one of the happiest people that I have even encountered. And who gave so much, and so generously, not least to Japan and to the Society of Jesus. He was blessed with an exceptional ability to engage with persons of all cultures and views. May he rest in peace.
Such sad news. I have very fond memories of the annual 'cultural' evening in Baggot Street when Donal would bring over some of his students from Japan.
May he rest in peace.
Dear Harry, Paul, Michael, Philip and the extended Doyle and Quinlan families-

My deep sympathy, love and prayer on this sad occasion of Fr Donal’s death in Tokyo. May he rest now in the Lord’s Heavenly peace in the warm embrace of Frank, Emily, Deirdre, Frank and Clodagh!

It truly is the end of an era! So many memories come to mind of times spent with Donal. There were wonderful family occasions- family get-togethers in Baggot St or celebrations in Mount Anville. The highlight was the visit of the Crown Prince and Princess Michiko in 1985.

Fr Donal brought peace, insight, integrity and love to the many lives he touched. PAX.
