You were a wonderful priest at Our Lady of Fatima in Quinton, B32 with us for many years and deeply missed. My children served on the altar with you and you were very special to them too , thank you Fr Mark for being wonderful priest once again 🙏
Our sincere condolences to Fr. Mark's (Seán) family and Augustinian community on his passing. I have many fond memories of Fr. Sean's visits to my parents home in Lislevane, my parents really enjoyed him calling and had many years of friendship. We also had the pleasure of Fr. Seán marrying us in Barryroe. May his gentle soul rest peacefully in Lislevane.

Sincere sympathy to the Minihane families, the Augustinian order and to all who mourn the sad passing of Fr. Mark (Sean). He was a very special person to so many of us and will be sorely missed. It was lovely to meet the Augustinian fathers at the funeral this week and to hear such wonderful stories of Fr. Sean's kindness, generosity, humility and steadfast faith - a true example to us all of a life well lived.
To us he was very special as he married us in 1968, and 50 years later came to our home to celebrate mass and renew our marriage vows on the occasion of our Golden Jubilee. A special occasion made all the more memorable by having Fr. Sean there with us again.
He received an amazing send-off from his fellow Augustinian priests earlier this week with the funeral mass being especially beautiful, said by his special friend from Hoxton, UK. It was a privilege to be present at it.
May you rest in peace Fr. Sean.

Today, 28th August 2025, is the feast day of St Augustine. On this day fifty years ago I entered the Augustinian order as a novice and Father Mark was my novice master and then later my student master. I have nothing but very fond memories of Father Mark. He was always cheerful, kind and very patient, a great man.

Fr. Sean, you were the kindest and gentlest soul. Though we grew up an ocean away from you, you were always a loving and peaceful presence in our lives. When I was a little child on one of your many trips to visit us, you gave me a teddy bear and blessed him for me. You did the same for my son when you met him. I always felt you were watching over me from afar, and you were there for us during the hardest of times. We will miss your calm presence, your beautiful smile, and your wonderful sense of humor! You were the model of faith, love, and service. We are deeply grateful to the Augustinian community, who were your family and took such good care of you, as well as to Michael and Lilian McCarthy.

Sincere condolences to Fr. Seán's family, many friends and his Augustinian Confreres.
Fr. Seán was a family friend and my late father looked forward to his visits when he returned home. They enjoyed reminiscing over times past. He would share stories of his times abroad, and my father would inform him of all the latest news in the parish.
When our house was newly built, he called to see us and blessed the house as well as saying a prayer for our unborn child, as Siobhán was pregnant with Íde. He had an air of holiness about him and had such a gentle nature.
Fr. Seán epitomised the priesthood. He was openly approachable, wholeheartedly kind and outwardly showed his very strong faith.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
