We were very sad to hear of the passing of Fr. Pat. I have fond memories while growing up of him calling to the Lowney house every year for the novena or if he was travelling from Shannon. He kindly officiated at our wedding in 2022. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Fr. Pat.

We were very sorry to hear of the passing of Fr Padraig. He will be fondly remembered by us both, and his annual visits were always something we looked forward to.

We’ll especially remember the trip up to the local pub as part of the visit, and finishing the evening with a warm bowl of soup in Effra Road — simple moments, but such lovely memories that capture his warmth and company.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Father’s passing. Fr. Sugrue baptised me and later shared in the joy of my First Holy Communion in our parish church. Those moments will always hold a special place in my heart.

I also remember his visits to Scoil Mhuire agus Naomh Treasa, when he would call in just to see how we were all getting on. He had such a gentle and caring nature, and the kindness he showed came so naturally to him. He made everyone feel valued and at ease, and those memories will always be treasured.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Fr. Sugrue’s passing and extend our sincere sympathies to his family and many friends.
We came to know Fr. Sugrue during his time in Ballinskelligs, and since then he has become a very dear family friend.
It was a great honour to have him as one of the celebrants at our wedding ten years ago. He made the day all the more special by his kindness and guidance.
He was a man of deep faith, warmth and gentle humour, and he will be fondly remembered.

What a huge loss to Iveragh and the Kerry Diocese. Fr Padraig was a wonderful priest who looked after numerous parishioners over his long fruitful lifetime. His popularity and admiration was expressed loudly at his many 90th birthday parties last year.
