Sincere condolences to Michael and the extended family on the death of Fr. Peter. May he rest in peace.
It was with great sadness that I learned of Fr. Peter`s death. I met him on the 20th November and he was in fine form. He has been my spiritual director and friend for over 30 years. He had wonderful insights which he shared most generously. I offer my sympathy to his family, friends and the Manresa Community. May Peter rest in peace.
Deepest sympathy to Fr Peter's family and the Jesuit Community in Manresa, Dollymount. Grateful for his spiritual direction during a 30 day retreat many years ago. May his gracious soul rest in peace.
Our condolences to Fr.Peter's family and community on his recent passing.
We have fond memories of him from our time in Zambia. Among his interests back then were gardening and American folk songs.
He was a very early riser - a time of day when he tended to some gardening. The amusing consequence of this is that he would invariably tend to nod off while visiting for evening dinner on occasion.
He was a lovely person and priest. May he rest in eternal peace.

Peter was a well loved brother of our Mum Mary Garvey, and we his nephews and nieces extend our sincere condolences to his youngest brother Michael, the last sibling in the Hannan family.
Our Mum was his eldest sister and their relationship was a beautiful thing, mum nurtured Peter from a nutritional and caring perspective and Peter looked after Mums spiritual soul over many years, many a debate was had over several aspects of Catholicism and it’s evolvement. Theirs was a true relationship of a sister and brother who could debate the social/ political/ cultural nuances of their lives over many many years.
Our Mum was a part of Peter’s live upto January of 2023 and he was one of the last people to visit her at home before she passed away.
Peter was such a part of her life , all of her life and we so appreciate that.
We extend our condolences to all who loved and knew Fr Peter.
