It was with deep sadness that I learnt of Fr.Tommy's death. As I loined in his requiem mass via webcam it took me down memory lane. I first met him in 1994 while working in Rwanda where he came on a visit. In 1997 I joined some of his friends and walked the Wicklow Way.Another most memorable day was when I was part of a group who walked the Tohar Padraig route from Ballintubber Abbey to include Croagh Patrick......we talked , laughed sang, recited poetry and finally celebrated Mass at the summit. All the warm tributes already expressed resonate with me.......In essence...a beautiful man who touched many hearts with his gifts....whose work in this life is done...a life well and trully lived. It was a privilege to have met you Tommy and may you rest In deep everlasting peace.with the Lord.My deepest sympathy to all the Gillooly family and his family in Kiltegan.
