To Ross and all the Spillane family, I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your father Fred. My heartfelt condolences to you all during this really difficult time. May you find comfort in the memories you shared and strength in the support of those around you.

Thinking of you and your family at this really tough time.
My deepest sympathies for your sad loss.
Dear Mary and family,
I'm so sad to hear of Fred's passing - it's hard to envisage the loss of such a larger-than-life person. I started getting my hair cut at Studio 54 when I was still at school, and the fun, upbeat atmosphere was such a joy (champagne on Christmas Eve!). Mum and Anto loved their visits to the salon, too - many a golf wager and plenty of Man U slagging.
But Fred's greatest kindness personally was when my husband Conor (Coakley) was ill. He would come out to the house, cut the whole family's hair, colour mine, and fill the house with craic for an hour or so. Such kindness I will never forget. I found a photo recently of him cutting Nicola's hair on the kitchen counter—a precious memory.
Sending you all love and strength, and as the Quakers say, I'm "holding you all in the LIght" at this sad time.
Love, Judy.
Dear Mary and family, my sincere condolences on Fred's passing from your lives. I have so many memories of bringing Mum to Fred over the years and she came home full of the gossip. But she loved most of all the fun in the salon and the way Fred pulled her leg. She loved hearing news from you about the children and grandchildren. You were such an important part of her life, so thank you. She left us for Heaven on 20 February and no doubt she and Fred are back talking about perms and "just a trim."
I'm so sorry for your loss.. my dad died from oesophageal cancer a few years ago.. it's a dreadful disease.. may Fred rest in peace.

Sorry I cant be with you to say "Au revoir"
In 1987 as a shy country girl, I walked into Freddie on Quinnsboro rd and basically begged him for a job. I had come from Bailieboro in Co.Cavan and landed in Bray. His big hearty laugh when I told him where i came from got us off to a good start. I got the job, and was on the receiving end of his slagging from that day forth. i am most grateful for his unending kindness towards me,and all the fun that continued onto Studio 54.
Rest in peace and Rise in Glory Fred

Sincere Condolences to you and all your family at this very difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Ross, my deepest condolences to you and all your family on the passing of your Dad. May he rest in peace.
Uncle Freddy was a cherished figure in my life. At 14, he welcomed me into the world of hairstyling with a Saturday job at his salon, Studio 54. By 16, he introduced me to the joys of celebration during the salon’s Christmas party. Sharing my first tequila shot with him was a rite of passage, and his playful secrecy from my Mam will never be forgotten.

His mischievous spirit was legendary. The countless pranks he played on my Mam, impersonations of the Gardaí, filled our home with laughter. She fell for them every time, and we’d all end up in stitches, testament to his infectious humor.

Even after decades, every encounter began with his teasing remark: “Dede, they still ask for you at the salon.” It was our inside joke.

Uncle Freddy had an uncanny ability to be the life of every party, bringing joy and energy wherever he went. I can only imagine the reunion he’s having now with his sisters—Mam and Patsy—and his brother, Uncle Timmy. Together again, undoubtedly causing delightful havoc and sharing endless craic.

Sending my deepest condolences to Aunt Mary, cousins Ross, Leah & Zoe plus all your partners & children.

Rest peacefully, dear Uncle Freddy. Your legacy of love, laughter, and mischief will forever resonate in our hearts.
Thinking of you Leah on the passing of your dear Dad. Sincere condolences to you and your family.
