Hi All,
I would just like to take this opportunity to say Thank You all from Myself, Susanna, Madeline and Our children for the wonderful kind words of condolence and support from everyone in a difficult time..but most of all for evoking wonderful memories of my Dad and especially his antics with his grandchildren...

Deepest sympathies to the Scully family on the passing of such a giant of a man. When I began my journey in the councils driving section in 93, Fred was mentor and a friend who helped everyone that came his way regardless of if they were only just after an argument 2 minutes before! Personally he obliged and guided me for years and never looked for anything more than that I do my best for him. I continue to try and emulate his work ethic and his passion!

Freddy as he was known to all his work colleagues was one of the best operators of the Phoenix gritter,this Machine required a lot of skill concentration and awareness ,as when it was travelling forward it was towing A truck facing in the opposite direction ,and it was part of a mobile Convoy of 2 other trucks, tarring the roads around South Cork, it was always a pleasure to work with Freddy,he was a character that light up the day ,he was a man of peace @ mediator ,he got Respect for the Driving Section,when it was sadly lacking,to all his family @ friends our sincere condolences,we all were privileged to have him in ur lives!Freddy a huge thank you for the memories craic @ the yarns ,they were mighty !U were a larger than life force of Nature ! U will always be in ur thoughts @conversations
Drivers Section Victoria X Cork

Fred an I worked together for many yrs at Cork County council Machinery yard Victoria cross,had lost contact with him since he retired,funny was only talking about him early Dec,and it was my intention to seek him out,Fred was ur union Rep for yrs in very difficult times,one thing I will always remember Fred for was his innate sense of justice @ fairness for all,that meant he was a right pain in the arse for the management then, he did so much for all of us working in the driving section over the yrs ,a lovely kind caring Soul who ALL OF US Will sadly Miss ! A credit to his family @ friends ! A man who always Had ur Back ! Fred u were a One OFF ! Condolences to all his family @ Friends
